The Trap Stone

Legend says that some stones have the abilities to trap souls inside them. Burying them for eternity only showcasing their last impression. Maybe, this is one of them..
The idea of this sculpture was born after I drew a picture of many hands who tried to burry a female head.

„The ink and pencil illustration, that inspired my Trap Stone sculpture. „

I wanted to go back to sculpting after a long break so something small and handy was good for a start. Returning back to sculpting was fairly easy but coloring it with colored pencils and make it look as real as I could was defiantly a challenge. But I think the result speaks for itself and it was worth the effort and trying something new.
