behind the scenes,  Blog,  weekly update

Autumn is here – weekly update

Autumn has arrived, my favorite season. There is nothing more soothing, than rainy weather, working and having a coffee.

Last week, I had time to illustrate. I worked with ink and aquarelle colors. And after not drawing for almost 4 month it felt a little bit rusty. My hands are shaky and it shows in the line art. So I have to work on a lot to get better.

I also have to try out different papers and inks or maybe even colored liners. So I will be heading to the craft supply store soon. But first I have to do some research and try more combinations.

On behalf of digital work:
I have worked digitally for a long time and I think it is great in many ways, but I miss feeling the real paper in my hands. Or having a finished artwork physically in my hands that I can frame or show my kids. Printing is an option but it still isn’t the same.
So I will be taking a break from digital art and go back to traditional artworks.

I also want to go back to working on my figures. Moorigan is still headless and unfinished since spring which is a shame.

As you can tell by reading this, my mind is still all over the place. I have to work out a good business plan to not stumble over my own feet at this point. 😀

It’s a lot coming, and boy am I excited. I have to tone it down a bit, just because life can throw some lemons when you are overly excited. ^^
